Description

We are hiring Strategic Marketing Lead to lead market entry and expansion initiatives across Europe, starting with Sweden and the Netherlands. You will not execute campaigns—you will define where to play, what to offer, and how to win before execution begins.

This role focuses on market intelligence, demand identification, and go-to-market strategy, ensuring that all marketing and sales execution is grounded in real opportunity, not assumptions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth market and competitor analysis for Sweden and the Netherlands to identify opportunities, threats, and entry points.
  • Identify real market demand for AI-DLC, FDE (Forward Development Engineer), and other relevant services or products.
  • Define priority industries, ICPs, and buyer segments based on market potential and demand signals.
  • Develop clear positioning, value propositions, and entry angles tailored to each target market.
  • Evaluate event participation opportunities by analysing audience relevance, expected ROI, and strategic fit.
  • Identify and map strategic networking and partnership opportunities across European ecosystems.
  • Recommend market entry strategy, including country prioritization, offer focus, and GTM approach.
  • Translate research and insights into actionable GTM plans for execution teams (campaigns, outreach, content).
  • Work closely with leadership to refine strategy and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Continuously monitor market shifts, competitor moves, and emerging opportunities to refine strategy.
  • Ensure clear separation between strategy and execution by providing direction without getting involved in delivery.
  • Leverage AI tools for research and insight generation while maintaining strong strategic judgement.

Skill Requirements

  • Strong strategic thinking ability to assess markets, identify demand patterns, evaluate competitive gaps, and recommend where the company should play and how it should win.
  • Strong market research and analytical capability to assess industries, countries, buyers, competitors, and emerging opportunities with clear business judgment.
  • Ability to translate market intelligence into actionable go-to-market recommendations, including market prioritization, offer selection, ICP definition, and entry strategy.
  • Strong understanding of B2B buyer behavior, market-entry dynamics, and decision factors in software services, AI services, and consulting-led sales environments.
  • Ability to evaluate market demand for services, solutions, and productized offers based on real commercial signals rather than assumptions.
  • Strong business acumen to connect research findings with revenue potential, strategic fit, and long-term growth opportunities.
  • Ability to assess the strategic value of events, partnerships, and networking opportunities based on expected business outcomes.
  • Strong communication and synthesis skills to convert large volumes of research, discussions, and market signals into sharp strategic recommendations for leadership.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with leadership, sales, and execution teams while maintaining clear separation between strategy and delivery.
  • Strong problem-framing ability to identify the right strategic questions before proposing solutions.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to form structured hypotheses in new or evolving markets.
  • Experience using AI tools (especially ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and similar tools) for research acceleration, synthesis, idea exploration, and strategic thinking support while maintaining independent judgment.

Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic marketing, market research, go-to-market strategy, business strategy, or growth strategy roles in B2B environments.
  • Proven experience in market analysis, competitor analysis, demand identification, or expansion planning for new markets, industries, or service lines.
  • Experience working with software services, SaaS, AI, fintech, consulting, or technology-driven businesses is strongly preferred.
  • Experience contributing to or leading market-entry strategy, offer-market fit assessment, or strategic GTM planning is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with leadership or cross-functional stakeholders to shape strategic priorities and convert them into execution-ready direction.
  • Experience evaluating business opportunities such as events, partnerships, or new market initiatives from a strategic ROI perspective is preferred.
  • High proficiency in English is a must for communication, strategic writing, and presentation of insights.

Educational Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
