Description

Brain Station 23 is looking for a Software Engineer (Android POS & Mobile Development) to develop and maintain Android-based POS terminal and mobile applications for secure and reliable payment solutions.

You’ll work closely with technical teams, QA, business users, and external partners to build new features, integrate payment services, troubleshoot complex issues, and improve application performance and stability. We’re looking for a self-driven engineer with strong Java and Android development skills, good problem-solving abilities, and a strong sense of ownership.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications for POS terminals and mobile 

platforms. 

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, 

development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. 

• Develop new features and enhancements based on business and customer requirements. 

• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues. 

• Perform application testing, debugging, and optimization to ensure software quality and 

performance. 

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test 

results. 

• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, QA teams, and other developers to 

deliver projects on schedule. 

• Support system integration with payment hosts, backend services, APIs, and third-party 

solutions. 

• Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices. 

• Provide technical support during UAT, pilot deployment, and production rollout.

Education 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. 

Experience 

• 2 years of experience in software development. 

Technical Skills 

• Knowledge of Android application development. 

• Knowledge of Java programming. 

• Familiarity with Android SDK, Android Studio, and mobile application architecture. 

• Understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and client-server communication. 

• Basic knowledge of SQL databases and data structures. 

Added Advantages 

• Knowledge of C programming. 

• Experience in Android POS terminal development. 

• Knowledge of payment technologies such as EMV, card payments, QR payments, e-Wallets, or payment 

gateways. 

• Experience with source control tools such as Git. 

• Familiarity with Linux or embedded systems environments.
