Description

Brain Station 23 is looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for planning, initiating, and managing information technology projects. The incumbent will direct the development and customisation of advanced system technologies to meet specific business needs, and will serve as the liaison between business and technical aspects of IT projects and customer relationships. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the work of a team to achieve goals and meet success criteria within a specified time and given constraints.
  • Manage one or more projects, providing day-to-day leadership to analyse product requirements, develop designs, and implement solutions.
  • Coordinate with the test team, administer all processes and procedures, and ensure compliance with quality goals.
  • Initiate test cases and issues for management improvement projects and processes.
  • Manage presale and post-sale relationships on integration specifications, technical product requirements, issues, and reporting.
  • Prepare periodic project status reports for management updates and daily tracking.
  • Work closely with architects, technical teams, functional analysts, and testers to deliver project scope on time, on budget, and with high-quality deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding project scope, technology, and functionality.
  • Develop accurate work estimates, project budgets, and timelines.
  • Exercise required controls and propose improvements, including quality plans, issue and action logs, risk management plans, and change control plans.
  • Prepare Statements of Work, purchase orders, price quotes, and other contractual documentation.
  • Demonstrate leadership in working with people and teams in a flexible, collaborative, and resourceful manner to achieve project objectives.
  • Prepare and update product-related documentation.
  • Assist with any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the immediate superior.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of working experience in a Project Management role.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with personal computer tools including Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other project management tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in relationship management with external stakeholders.
  • Experience with IT projects in the financial services industry is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Project management certification such as PMP or PMI-ACP is a plus.
